Nothing is ever going to erase the humiliation of completely being caught
offguard, dismissing and underestimating the internet phenomenon sweeping
computer users of the early 90's. Bill tries at every turn to recapture this
missed opportunity. MSN, MSN search.. He feels they should be the toll road
on the internet, collecting a penny for every click. It's an obsession. It's
not about the money. It's about being there first. Now they get into
everything because he can't stand the thought of missing the 'next big
thing'.

When you get that powerful, successful and rich, it's not about the hits, it's
about the misses.
