Are the applets interacting with servelets, beans, or CGI backends?

It's been way too long since I last played with tiny web-servers, I've
long since forgotton the names of the ones I looked at.   The one at
http://tjws.sourceforge.net/ seems to have a lot of command-line
configuration and has the word "tiny" in the name...
