Bah. 1) Diddling and computing aren't always different things. 2) I
spend less time diddling with package installation than those who are
like, "I can't find my dependency!" or "I hand compiled this package,
and now it broke my other package!" 3) Even those who don't have more
time for diddling than computing may actually like Gentoo more than
other distros; whether or not they actually use Gentoo for their
computing.

Depends on what you want it to "work" for.
