Write them down and store them in a safe place. By virtue of not being connected to the net the top desk drawer in your den is a far safer place for passwords than your hard drive. > The best idea I've come up with lately is a file saved on a usb drive, > stored along with a hard copy in a safe. That sounds pretty reasonable also. > My main goal is to cover the situation where something happens to me and > someone (co-workers & my wife) has to step in and keep things going. Make sure your cow-orkers & wife know where the password lists are and keep the lists up to date. You must also trust them to access the accounts only in real emergency of course. - -- Tracy R Reed http://ultraviolet.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFucLz9PIYKZYVAq0RApjLAJwKisuB93U2JUqi4WP9Bsg8YS0plACdErBg e3arr6eIBKuEQG9ExzGbEjs= =WWeL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
