Don't expect that flash card to last very long. Yuor typical flash
device has a longetivity of about 10K write cycles -- this can be
destroyed in even a couple days.


Do you know what percentage of flash devices have such low lifetimes?

I dont have any numbers handy to show this, but I am sure Ive seen the older CF cards that list 100K write cycles for CF cards, this may or may not be true for other stuff, and it very well could have been in an advertisement(likely canon or scandisk), but I really did 6+ months like this. and it wasnt a new card, I take a LOT of pictures.

I thought they were typically up 10x that number of cycles -- or is that
only for some high end class of device?
that last one was a canon one, high class I wouldnt think so? it was not fast. the new one is a PQI its a month old or there about.
