Yes. It is unfortunate but true that LVM volume names have two
different forms, depending on whether they are shown by mount(8) or
used as elements in /etc/fstab. The display of volume names shown by
sudo /sbin/lvm lvscan matches what goes in fstab.
You have probably rediscovered all this in the past day or so.
