I'm currently looking for am inkjet scanner/printer combo device well
supported in Linux but can't really find something to match my criteria:
-good graphics/line art
-large ink tanks with cheap refill
-overall print
Speed is not really much of a matter.
If all else fails, a standalone inkjet will do fine as well.
I had a look at the HP F370 which is well supported but only has 5ml tanks
hence will run dry after 10 prints or so which is ridiculous.
If anyone can recommend something, let me know.
Do you absolutely need color? If not, then you are actually better off
using a laserjet printer. The long term cost of materials is actually
cheaper, you can refill the toner cartridges or get recycled ones, and
used laserjet printers are cheap. Not sure what the prices are in
Germany, but I bought a used HP Laserjet 4P with an almost full
cartridge for $40, and it (the printer) had only printed about 400
pages, not even a full ream of paper. Plus something like a Laserjet
lasts for a very long time. I'm still using my HP Laserjet 4ML after 14
years and I'm still able to get toner for it.
