Updating firmware using WINE

I saw this message a few days ago and thought it might be interesting to 
anyone who wants to do a firmware upgrade to some hardware item but you 
only have a MS Windows update utility.

I'm not sure how it would work for say a motherboard BIOS update but it 
may soon be the only option for some boards if you don't have MS Windows.
