When I rip, I like to take the raw wav's and burn a CD for later use in
making mix CDs. For Amarok, I'm thinking of storing only mp3s for space
saving.

I understand the newer players can play mp3s (auto, home). Heck, maybe my
current ones can ... whi knows? I know (because the 5-yr-old tested it)
that my DVD player will also play music CDs.

We haven't gotten beyond saving one Neil Young album, let alone loading
the iPod.
