Ok, that's one humongous kernel:
$ size vmlinux

Yes, that's a 31MB kernel. The file itself is 311MB.
The build took just over 20 minutes. I have two CPUs, so a single-cpu
compiling absolutely everything would probably be about 40 minutes
(probably a little less).
