If you leave it all for after the fact, I doubt if it will even happen at all. And this even teaches the use of the wiki to those who are asking for help, forces them to describe what they think is going on, could give them a feeling of helping others by publishing their problem in hopes it will help others, and gets them involved in the solution. or it is just a pain in the ars and it won't get done either.
