No, you're missing the point.
The point is that the open source version of VirtualBox doesn't include
USB support at all. Not just remote connectivity. Almost all of the
VirtualBox descriptions make this comment, and I take them at their word.
Now, if that's not correct, let me know, and I'll remove that as a
strike against VirtualBox.
