Irrational? It is far more likely that it is just the preference of the
younger crowd coming in and working on Linux software. Look at
those Tcl/Tk'ers who'll not even bother trying Python because they
know what they know and aren't interested in learning something new.
It's the same thing but in reverse and today, Python gets mindshare
so it gets the preference. Makes sense to me.
