Boy do I remember watching the "....." and hoping the next "." showed up instead of a core dump. It really helped having someone else around to bullshit with because otherwise, it was agony. Actually, the fact that OS/2 allowed doing something else while copying floppies was such an relief/pleasure compared to DOS. Same for *nix when it was up and running.
