Yeah, I know about nmap, but that just scans ports.

From the nessus wikipedia entry:
There is a split-off project called OpenVAS that continues to develop
a GPLed vulnerability scanner based on Nessus 2.
Thanks. Google wasn't very useful in pulling that out. Presumably
Nessus has bought up all the nessus keywords.
You know, I'm starting to have search misses on Google more and more
often. The latest round was when I was hunting for class websites at
SDSU. For example, my own: "cs530 lentvorski" is a complete blank
*except* for the RateMyProfessor.com entry. WTF?!?!?! I haven't moved
the page in 2 years; it used to be indexed.
Apparently the battle with spammers and search engine optimizers is not
going well. If Google can't even index class websites anymore, it's
well on the way to being broken.
I guess I should start with wikipedia for technical searching rather
than Google.
Although, I have no idea how to pull out a class website anymore.
Suggestions welcome.
