The partitioner in the Ubuntu CD is the same as the one in Gparted and
Pmagic.  Each of them has a slightly different GUI to confuse the
user.  But if you know how one of them works, you can bumble your way
through another.

By the way, I think that Partition Magic has not been maintained for a
couple of years, ever since it got bought out by somebody else.  As
far as I know, it has not kept up with current knowledge of NTFS.
