Just curious:

How much time do you spend in usenet/newsreaders (or related) activity?

depends over the years its changed for me.

Maybe in hours per day/week/month?
10 years ago, id say i spent 5 days solid week using an auto downloader plus most of my day just like email now always "in" frequently reading, and often responding, and start a thread say twice a day, and was a heavy user in 3 groups.

5 years ago, id say i spent 40 hours a week using auto downloaders (RIAA vs MP3's :D ) plus probibly half my day "in" id catch up on the new messages probibly twice a day, reply a little less often and rarely start a thread.

now! no auto downloaders I dont need the risk of downloading the MP3's and im not as broke now as I was, and I dont want to loose everything I have. and for checking messages Id say once a week i check to see if anything seems neat to read on. and everynow and then i D/L the episodes of a few fav's that I missed on my PVR, I dont know when the last time I posted a message!

on top of those figures my max insane D/L speed avilability has grown significantly, I can D/L the entire news group collection in 2~3 days. before it took 2 days to clear out a few mp3 groups before everything was replaced.
