This is certainly no longer the case, now that the windows support has been merged into the Git mainline. Linus has even acknowledged that he wants to hear what kind of problems people are having, since it affects design decisions. He does still get annoyed at the [EMAIL PROTECTED] windows filesystem and how dreadful its performance is, but he offers similar complaints about OSX.
