Unfortunately, Git on Windows is only officially supported using
Cygwin. However, there is a fork (currently in the process of being
merged with "official" git) which enables you to compile git using
MinGW/MSys.



He does still get annoyed at the [EMAIL PROTECTED] windows filesystem and how
dreadful its performance is, but he offers similar complaints about
OSX.

Yeah, well, Linus doesn't believe in silly things like "synchronous
mounting" so that your filesystem doesn't wind up in pieces when it
doesn't get to unmount cleanly.
