Ok, so I finally get a mythtv box set up and it mostly works but a few things are making me pull out what hair I have left. Most of them have to do with the connection between the mythtv and my laptop. I have drives mounted via NFS from myth to laptop so I know the networking is working. I can log into webmin on myth and all web based services work. However, I cannot ssh in either direction and I cannot connect to the mysql server on myth from laptop, which kills mythtv frontend on the laptop!
All of this worked when myth was first set up, mere days ago, just doesn't work now. I can connect to myth with my xboxes and the imac i've been working on. I can ssh to myth from imac, but not to laptop. And to top it all off, the myth box regularly freezes completely requiring a power disconnect to fix!
