I am like David, I do not use cash, I only use credit cards and as long as you are responsible with your finances and pay you entire bill every month you will beat them at their own game by getting money back or air miles. I have gotten 2 free trips to europe and 3 trips to southamerica thanks to using the sytem on my favor. I would not gotten the rewards if I had used cash or paypal and I am protected and I can dispute a charge.
The question I just don't get: "ATM or credit". What it really means is, "Would you like to pay the transaction fee, or would you like us to?" The credit card companies make enormous amounts of money off of people's inability to manage credit. Fortuantely, if one can manage credit, then it ends up as quite an advantage, especially since many of the credit card companies are even handing some of the transaction fee back to the customers (points/miles). I don't think I could do this if I wasn't diligent with GNUcash, though. David -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
