Yes, I am sorry I did not give better explanation of what I did to fix my
situation.The web site I linked below did not work at first. When I rebooted
the boot loader showed something like this (I am away from this computer and
don't have the exact text): Vista Ubuntu Ubuntu mem test ...
Longhorn boot loaderOnce again I am away from my Linux computer so the syntax
may be a little off.For some reason the Vista option did not work and the
computer would go into a diagnostics check.I later booted up Ubuntu and opened
the menu.lst file (sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst) and scrolled down past the
"## ## End Default Options ##," section. I deleted the Vista text the website
suggested and replaced it with the "Longhorn boot loader" info that Ubuntu had
already included at the bottom of the file. After booting the computer, the
