The IP address that ifconfig reports is "bound" to eth0

That partly depends upon your configuration. If you want Apache to run on
"inet addr:xxx.xxx.xxx.xx94" and it's hostname is "myhostname.someodomain.com"
then the command "host myhostname.somedomain.com" should return
"xxx.xxx.xxx.xx94" That could be as simple as an entry in /etc/hosts or as
complicated as setting up a DNS entry in BIND.

Then I would recommend you spend some time looking at
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/ and learning about the configuration options to
Apache. Apache is almost as complex as a base Linux system.
