And I have same Ubuntu setup on my Dell Laptop, Inspiron2600, and tried plugging in the little Netgear Wireless WG111 v.3, and tried a few things, but copuldn't get it to hook up to the Linksys Wireless-G router....

I actually prefer hooking it up to the Wired ethernet port, but wanted to see if I could get this to work for my travels, so I'll be following this thread, see if anyone has ideas might help

Oops! I think I was so happy that I might be able to contribute something, that I forgot to bottom post. I am doing my best to correct that now.

I found that looking up the chipset to get a driver for that chipset worked the best. If you google on " Netgear Wg111v3 chipset" it comes up with a variety of pages. One of whuch lists the chipset. My dongle has a Zydas 1211 chipset which is different from yours, so I don't know how much help I can be.

Good luck
