Well, I know how to do some of the things in the list above, but not
all. Not sure how one would demo without schlepping a large printer
to the meeting.
I have a HP Laserjet 4ML that is reasonably portable that I could
bring
to the meeting. It does Postscript Level 2.

OK, so we have the possibility of two printers showing up, and Carl
won't have to carry them. Are they all network printers? Is Carl
willing to do a presentation about how to get a printer working and
cool things you can do with printing? Do we need to set up an ad hoc
network? Would it be advisable to ask others to bring printers?

Can I write an announcement for the web site? What should it say?

My printer has a parallel port interface. It also has an Apple Data Bus interface but I've never tested that.

I could rig my laptop or my shoebox computer to be a print server, but that would need some testing before the presentation. Maybe a trial run at the Installfest this Saturday?
