I agree with Larry, or add some thin spruce instead of ply. BUT
I outer spars on my KR2SS I picked up have ply attached to the outer spar caps to make the difference, I am till thinking of a better idea Phil Matheson ---------------------------------- Rather than add the softer ply under the fitting, I'd change the dimension of either the inner or outer section spar cap to make it work.
