hey Steve, Thanks for responding.? Glad my thoughts weren't 'too far out there".? I know that logistics are one of the most complicated things to do and cost sharing is equally delicate.? I am in commercial real estate and when we have to bill people for CAM's (common area maintenance expenses) it doesn't matter whether you used it or not - it was there and part of the package.? In my opinion, the Gathering would be simplified if handled the same way.? All projected expenses are put in an account, divided by expected attendance and you have a fee.? If there is an overage, it goes in the fund for next year.? if there is a deficit, we can pass the hat at the end of the day. To me the only question is the set up.? Everyone can avail themselves of every hands on seminar and materials for a particular part.? As you mentioned in your response if anyone needs a particular fiberglass part, you can make it there.? I don't have a specific need but I would be happy to help someone else and learn proper techniques.? So I probably won't need any fiberglass materials (for me).? but I do want a buss and an antenna.? maybe someone else won't want those.? The point is, it all evens out.? it's not enough to get excited about.? Plus you'll be doing weight and balance and who knows what else.
So, figure up the budgeted costs (is there a fee to the airport?) for everything including materials, breakfast and lunch (estimate head count) - don't forget the banquet (maybe an option?)? - and let us know what it is.? Can handle it via Paypal.? Again, equating the format to a Corvair College, it's a pretty cheap weekend for the fun and knowledge you get.? Plus, this time I get to keep stuff. Finally, I'll volunteer to be a judge. See you soon. Ray New Orleans
