The best laid plans of mice and men!! Mark Langford and Joe Horton were going to meet me in Arkansas early this morning. I was wheels up at 6:05 AM and arrived at our first fuel stop at 8:25 AM. I had a message on my cell phone so I called Mark. Trouble !! His engine wouldn't start, no spark. Joe was running close to 2 hours late. I was checking weather while waiting and found the winds at the next stop were 22/24G29 !!! That's more than I wanted to take on and the weather briefer said there was no going around it , north or south. Joe arrived , topped off, and considering he was already half way to California, (from Pennsylvania) (and apparently bigger kahoones than me), decided to press on. I'm hoping he is somewhere in New Mexico by now as I'm setting home typing this and Mark is at his hangar working on his KR. So Mark and I are out. BUMMER.............. Have fun everyone............
