This is so very true but width is not the only issue. If your tall, I am 6'5", 
you will need to make it deeper too or you will have to raise the canopy in 
some way. Early on I made a cockpit mock-up because of my size. I went two 
inches wider and deeper. I should have gone 4" wider, the depth is perfect for 
the Dragonfly canopy. Remember it is your airplane so make it fit you. The 
basic structure is wonderfully adaptable.
