The one page instruction sheet I received does not tell you where to mount the bracket. I bought the two piece gear which is somewhat like mounting the Diehl gear. If you get the one piece gear, the brackets would have to be inside the fuselage since it is 32" wide at the top (per the drawing on their web page).
