Colin, The only thing I've questioned is the statment about flying an expermintal with out a PPL. All of the other stuff you wrote I hardy read. Not enough to comment on it anyway! So, as far as tail wheel endorsement my guess is that you would have to have it even for an experimental but I cant say for sure I would have to dig in the FAR's.
