Hi Brian, This e-mail just showed up------------Revmaster sent me
Autolite 425 plugs which are resistor plugs according to their web site.
Revmaster does use a shielded harness. After telling Joe at revmaster
about the radio noise he said what did u gap the plugs at? I said since
there were no instructions I left them at .030 as that's what they were
all set at, then he said that's my problem, re gap to .016, so I did and
believe it or not the noise went away on the ground but in flight it came
back about 75% of what it was. So I called an avionics shop and was told
to get some shielding ( the tubular variety that is woven like Chinese
finger cuff's ) and slide it over the last couple of inches of wire prior
to the plug boot and down over the boot as well, and for good measure
solder a wire to the shielding and ground that to the block as well. So
I'm waiting for the shielding now.
I may call Steve at Great Plains, I completely forgot about
him----------------------------Thanks!
