Mark, I'd guess it closer to 2 pounds. You know how things get heavier when installed on an airplane. I'll bet my Cessna flap motor goes 5 pounds if it's an ounce. I'll have to look into that. A friend of mine is building an RV and probably has one. If I could move my motor from the baggage area to the seat back ( I have a perfect spot) and knock off several pounds it may be worth the hassle. Larry Flesner
