Netters,

If you are going to have a header tank that feeds directly through a
gasclator to the engine and you also want wing tanks for long range, here is
a way to insure the header tank does not run out of fuel when wing tanks are
full and also pumps from wing tanks are not running when the tank is empty.

Any light weight pump designed to pump gas will work and to insure that
it only works when there is a need do the following. Install a float switch
in the header tank that opens a circut to shut off the pump when the header
tank is full. Install another of the same float switch in each wing tank to
shut off the pump when the tank is empty. These switches are available in
any store that sells boat equipment. This system is automatic if the pumps
are wired through the master switch and receive power as soon as it is
turned on.
