Colin & 'Netters, I had the exact same problem with my 72 Dodge Challenger. I mounted a Carter electric fuel pump on the right fender well. I then decided that not being able to use full throttle was a bad thing and remounted the pump near the gas tank...problem solved. Electric fuel pumps push fuel, not pull fuel. in order to maintain proper fuel pressure, mount it as low as possible and as near to the fuel source as practical.

The fuel lines were very difficult to get to in the back near the tank which is where the Facet directions said to put it. I installed the pump on the front fender which works fine as long as I don't go full throttle on the engine, which then runs the float bowl dry after about a minute because the pump cannot keep up with the volume required.Colin Scott Cable KR-2S # 735 Wright City, MO s2cab...@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
