Hi I've been lurking for a few weeks now and find the "list" to be very refreshing with a tremendous amount of information and back and forth communication. My feeling is that the KR series is very similar to open source software, in that the basics are there but people are free to apply their own input and interpretation. My interest lies torward the KR2SXL with 6.00x6 tires and as wide as possible. I am really intrigued by the inexpensive possibilities while allowing the expression of ones sense of craftsmanship.
I find the ongoing discussion of nose vs. tail wheel humorous, having extensive experience in both the DC-3 and the B747 two of the biggest examples of both, I've always gone with "220 or 221 what ever it takes". As far as the next gathering have here in Alaska be adventurous! We seldom get hurricanes although a category 5 in the Aleutian Islands is just a not so nice day. Back to lurking.
