I have been following this forum for about a month. In
addition, I have read many of the past discussions as
well as speaking directly to several KR2
builders/flyers. With this being said, can anyone tell
me, in a nutshell, what is the best "version" of the
KR2 to build?

For the record, I am considering a KR2S at approx.
16'6" length, widened at the cockpit enough for two
adults(I don't know how wide is acceptable), Diehl
Wings at approx. 24', retractable gear, extra fuel
tanks, two control sticks and rudder pedals with
throttle in the middle and a Dragonfly canopy that
opens forward. I will try to keep the weight at
approx. 640lbs.

For performance, I am going to build based on the new
Revmaster R-3000 at approx. 110hp which will bolt onto
a R-2100 engine mount(according to Revmaster). I
might even consider adding a PRSU for added
performance.

My desired specs are to have 1,000+ mile range and a
cruise speed of 175-185 mph at 75%.

Based on the infomation I have presented, am I "headed
in the right direction". If not, can someone with
experience point-me-in-the-right-direction..........

Regards,

Steven Youschak
