I certainly disagree with that.  You need more plumbing with the manual
system.  The plumbing has to run into the cockpit.  How can it be lighter
unless the manual plunger and additional plumbing are lighter than the
solenoid?  Why introduce more opportunities for fuel to leak into the
cockpit area?  What can be more simple than 1 switch, one solenoid and one
wire?  All the rest is the same.
