6 quarts is plenty, especially if you have an oil filter giving you an extra half quart. I run mine at about 5 quarts and seldom see the temp above200 except in the hottest parts of the summer it may go to 210. My CHT seldom goes above 300 and I have no additional oil cooling. Run the long filter and not the -1 for even more capacity. Larry Flesner
