Larry, some of the changes in the fuslage could help create the problem. My
turtle deck and canopy sit about 3-4 inches higher than the plans call for.
I have a dragonfly canopy with the turtle deck built to fit it. My test
pilot is a high time 18,000 plus test pilot who has experienced this before.
The "Marvel" research aircraft designed and built at MSU. The wing area was
increased without the horizontal stabilizer inceased proportionally and the
exact same thing happened. My test pilot was the test pilot on this craft.
After the horizontal stab area was increased, the problem went away.
Any combination of changes from the original plans could create a situation
as my KR-2 has. I plan to increase the length of my horizontal stabilizer
next week. It should not take but a few days. I will let you know the
results.
Thanks for you interest.
