Serge, I would squirt epoxy in the holes before inserting the bolts "and" 
coat the bolts with epoxy. If you only coat the bolts and the holes are snug 
a lot of the epoxy will be striped off while the bolt is intering the holes 
and not coat the wood surface in the holes. I didn't just tap the bolts but 
used a nut driver attached to my portable drill and ran the bolts in while 
spinning slowing with my drill to help distruibte the epoxy evenly.
