Mark, The solution may not be that easy as it sounds. Increasing pitch will eat up HP together with engine's RPM. In fact with higher pitch you may decrease top speed. I would start measuring how level your plane is at top speed and compare all incidence angles to make sure that you are not loosing speed due to drag.
