Gang, what Brian and Mark are talking about with IDs are the FAA guys and
girls on the ground and in the tower. The transition from Ripon to Fisk
then to Oshkosh itself is taken care of by controllers on the ground. For
those of us who have flown into Oshkosh, it is easy to understand just how
busy those controllers are on the gound and in the tower. They look up and
see a fast moving low wing composite........they don't look at cue cards:-)
ID with a wing rock then move to the next one. If you fly, I believe you
really do want to fly into Oshkosh......it is something you will always
remember. It makes flying into SNF seem like a piece of cake:-)
