Well, that did not last long. As I posted last night, yesterday morning, due to my paranoia about sudden engine stoppage, I decided to run the engine wide open for 3 minutes. Well, at 2.5 min., it started getting hot, and before I realized it, it started getting real hot, real fast. So I went out this morning to see if I had caused any damage, and I have two cylinders that have very little compression. It still runs ok, but I need to do a compression test and probably replace the rings. So, it will probably be another 2 to 3 weeks. At least now, I have confidence that the engine will run and not stop suddenly like it did before.
