Hello Lou Welcome!! Sounds like quite the history. I have a KR2 and am also 200# and it's just fine. On the other hand the KR2S reflects the latest changes for the KR design and beyond that is the work of others like Mark Langford. Go the www.krnet.org and look at all the recent work.
