Thought about it... two things come to mind. 1) Manifold vacuum leak causing an imbalance in the fuel mixture side to side. Interesting to note that the plugs with the 'RICH' symptoms had the "BEST" compression readings. 2) I don't know what your ignition set up is, but that would be the next thing I would look to. Finally, a blocked air passage, mis-functioning choke/enricher, primer valve not closing properly.
If I recall, didn't you say that this bird was down for some significant maintenance issues? What did you change or "mess" with? As in anything, ask what is different now compared to the last time it ran well? Next I pulled the plugs: 2-4-6 were black sooty showing richness on that bank. 1-3-5 were clean slightly white showing leanness on that bank. Next I did a compression check: 1 = 80/76 3 = 80/70 5 = 80/70 2 = 80/76 4 = 80/77 6 = 80/77 Thoughts anyone?
