I installed 2 90* fittings on my KR with a 2180 and it really messed up the
fuel flow. I put a new fuel line with a nice sweeping bend and cured the
problem.

My gascolator does not have any cool air directed to it, so this could
definitely be a possibility. I think I am going to get rid of the gascolator
and replace it with a fuel drain in the lowest spot along with a fuel filter
behind the firewall as I have a header tank. I always drain the gascolator
before every flight to check for water and I think a simple fuel drain would
serve this same purpose. I think this will at least eliminate vapor lock
being caused by the gascolator.

After taking a quick look at the fuel supply line for the revflow carb I
noticed that fuel is fed into the opposite side of the carb (the side facing
the front of the airplane). In order to do this there are two 90 degree
fittings used together to bring fuel in from the rubber supply line. This
looks like it could be restrictive especially being that it is gravity fed.
This weekend I will do a fuel flow check and see if those fittings are
restricting the flow. If so then possibly I will extend the rubber supply
line and make a 180 degree radius into the carb instead.

Any other suggestions or comments??
