Well, my latest folly with intake manifolds failed miserably. It started quite easily, but refused to increase power past 2000 RPM. So, I'll chuck that wad of cash in the trash and try something else. But, I did find out that you can start your VW engine quite easily with the primer going to only one of the intakes at the head. So, I would assume that the same would be true for the Corvair.
