I have been part of the KR net for several years. Let me add that they have
been good and bad. I got kicked off by Mark L. for my wife getting on my list
and sending out e-mails. OK that has been taken care of. and I still love
her. and thank you Mark. I have had my share of run ins with people in the
net. Let me just say. the TRUTH will set you free. I have gained long time
friends from this net Dan H. Mark L, Mark J. Maybe Joe Horton, Ken Jones,
Steve Glover, and We all have to love Bob Glidden. there have been many more.
After all that has been said, I have asked this net for a few favors recently.
They have been answered. I would love to say quickly and efficiently, but you
guys are on the net and can see the emails. First I asked about the ELT. WOW
sorry about that. let me say that I have an ELT in my plane, but the reason
that I asked was that I am selling a KR for a "friend". and I needed to know if
I needed an ELT for the annual. ( no the A&P didn't know.) No you don't need
one. not for an experimental. Like I said I have one in my plane, so no
e-mails about this.

The net was also a great help on getting info on the history on this plane. I
received photos of this plane when it was a tail dragger and during the
conversion to tri gear. Photos of the crash of the plane. I do remember
seeing them prior to getting this plane to fix 4 years later. But most of all
the story of the person that worked on the plane prior to getting it. THANK
YOU Larry Howell and John Bouyea.

I agreed to work on this plane with my father to help a friend out. It turned
out to be alot more trouble than it was worth. There were no log books, no Air
worthiness Cert. blah blah blah. We started by getting the plane fixed. With
the stories and photos of the plane I was able to redo some of the history of
the plane. I started new log books and put together a users manual, thank you
again Dan Heath. There was a post about getting the new plastic license from
the FAA. I logged on to the FAA web site and requested my new license without
my SSN on it. about a week later I got it. while I was on the site I looked
and found an area for getting the Airworthiness Cert. on line. I ordered it
$10.00 later they said that they would send it to me. They said 15 days to 5
years later I would have it. I got the new License in 1 week. 3 days later I
got a CD from the FAA and it was a copy of the original paperwork submitted to
the FAA for the plane and had the DAR info written on it. It had a copy of
the Airworthiness Cert on it and was all able to be printed off. Now I have
more paperwork on this plane than I do for my own.

The plane is sold ... and for $10,000. To a guy in NM. Thank you to all that
have helped in this journey. Although it was a lot of work, it was a learning
experience.
