Craig,This may work for you, I had a sign maker cut mine. It is 1/16" alum. I gave him all the dimensions and it was layed out on computor and then cut on a computor controled router table. The holes were cut before the outside shape of the panel was cut to size. I had to touch up a little here and there with a file but everything ended up where it was susposed to. I don't remember the cost but it was well under a hundred bucks. Same guy did the grphics on 357CJ.Joe Horton,Coopersburg, Pa. -------- Forwarded Message ---------- From: Craig Williams <kr2seaf...@yahoo.com> To: kr...@mylist.net Subject: KR> laser cutting panel List-Post: krnet@list.krnet.org Date: Sun, 2 Jan 2011 10:42:24 -0800 (PST)
After a nerve racked morning with a fly cutter I have determined that I am probably not going the be able to cut the instrument holes. Another option is a Greenlee punch but those are quite expensive unless someone has one to loan. With all that said I am thinking that I want to mark up a piece of .125 aluminum sheet and send it off to someone to laser cut. Any suggestion on who could do that for me?
